SYNOPSIS
“The sky belongs to everyone, and every eye gazes upon it. A wise man asks himself: if the sky belongs to the king and the greengrocer, to the poet and the street sweeper, to the rabbit as much as the lion—if the sun and stars belong to all—why then is the earth divided?”
EDUCATIONAL/CREATIVE PROCESS
The class group analyzed a series of poems focused on European values, ultimately selecting the piece for the project. The imagery suggested by the text lent itself effectively to representing the themes of brotherhood and peace through the use of stop-motion animation.
The students chose the passages and visual content in a spontaneous and authentic manner; this creative process allowed them to express and internalize Europe’s founding principles in an original and deeply engaged way personal expression: our students had the opportunity to learn about Europe’s principles and make them their own through art.
