SYNOPSIS
The text celebrates Europe as a space where cultural, linguistic, and human diversity come together, united by shared values. Through poetic imagery, it highlights the importance of freedom, equality, justice, and solidarity as fundamental pillars for harmonious coexistence. The union among peoples is portrayed as a strength capable of overcoming borders and building a shared future based on collaboration, respect, and mutual understanding.
EDUCATIONAL/CREATIVE PROCESS
The project called “Sotto lo stesso cielo” engaged a group of first-year middle school students in an interdisciplinary educational and creative journey, starting from the study and in-depth exploration of the founding values of the European Union. Guided by their teachers, the students analyzed the poetic text created by the project coordinator, grasping its meanings and imagery, and then translated them into a visual form through the stop-motion technique.
The work developed collaboratively: the students actively contributed to the creation of the storyboard, imagining scenes and sequences, and handcrafted all the paper models used for the animation. This process fostered not only artistic and digital skills, but also a deeper understanding of the values of freedom, equality, justice, and solidarity, turning a school assignment into a shared, expressive, and highly engaging experience.
